The most fantastic, peaceful, relaxing and amazing weekend I've had in a very very long time. The shepherds huts are beautifully made and very well kitted out. Be ready to cook outdoors as the kadii is awesome to use. The wood fired hot tub just completes everything. The hosts are wonderfully kind too. Nothing, but nothing, negative to say. Love this place.

We were fortunate as a large family group to occupy the Coach house and both huts. We had a fabulous time-both the main house and huts are very well equipped - Jamie and Lisa have really taken care to think of everything . The pool was very welcome given the hot weather. The pantry is a great idea and we enjoyed sampling the local fayre and were very grateful for our welcome pack . We enjoyed the beach, coastal walks and runs, afternoon tea down the lane, walking in the quantocks and just enjoying the pool, house/huts/hot tubs - we saw some fabulous sunsets from the meadow and loved watching the sheep especially the triplets that run free and feeding the pigs windfall apples. Would absolutely recommend a stay here

We have stayed twice and both times have been incredible. The fully equiped huts are immaculate and the views are amazing. The hot tub is just the icing on the cake! We really can not fault our stay. This is the ultimate in relaxation and just what is needed after a busy, stressful period. We will definitely be back again!

Cannot express how incredible this place really is. When I was searching the web for a quiet getaway, I was hoping for something fairly private and peaceful & we hit the jackpot here. We watched the sunrise + set, picked apples from the orchard, fed the pigs and chickens, visited the Pantry shop, walked a couple minutes to explore Kilve beach, cooked our breakfast and dinner on the fire pit, enjoyed the outside tub and adored stargazing on the deck chairs. Even witnessed our first shooting star! I was also proposed to on Saturday night at Charlotte’s hut and I will forever hold that memory. Can’t wait to return. Keep doing everything that you are doing Jamie & Lisa, you are wonderful hosts!

We booked for a weekend break to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We staying in Charlotte's Hut. WOW! From the the first impression we were blown away, the accommodation and the location are absolutely brilliant. Our hosts were fantastic and the cooked food service was a nice touch, definitely recommend the curry. We also had a breakfast pack which was delicious. As a base to explore the area it works so well. We walked to Kilve beach and along the coastal path, beautiful. We also visited Dunster village and castle, Quantock hills (stopping for tea and cake at the Foxy Bean Cafe) and dinner at The Hood Arms (local pub). We had an amazing time and couldn't have asked for anything better, we will definitely be back, thank you!

Just lush! Really, really good. Great location for short walks to Kilve beach and longer walks along the coastal path. The huts are divine. Completely gorgeous in every way. The outside bathing tub is the World’s Best Bath. Totally recommend.

Absolutely awesome views over the Somerset coastline. Pristine, cosy shepherd's huts with private hot tubs and a luxurious dog friendly cottage with its own private pool, perfect place to chill with two yummie dog friendly pubs close by and such friendly caring hosts 🌟 thank you for having us 😍

We stayed at The Old Rectory House for 2 nights in June, our accommodation was Charlotte's Hut, one of 2 Shepherds Huts on site. We have been on a lot of short breaks, but this was by far the best and we hope to be returning very soon! The owners, Jamie and Lisa are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and you can really tell that they care about your stay, and a lot of thought has gone into this business. The Shepherds Hut itself is very well designed, and the build quality is great, the attention to detail inside is exceptional. We had food from Jamie & Lisa both nights, delivered to our door, both meals were delicious. The private hot tub was a real treat, with lovely views of the countryside and sea. The surrounding location is beautiful and peaceful, with only a 10 minute walk to Kilve beach. We would not hesitate to recommend The Old Rectory House to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay in the Coach House at Old Rectory House. It was perfect for us, our six month old baby and dog. Super comfy bed, enough space for us all, well equipped kitchen and perfect little garden. The grounds are great (our daughter loved the sheep and chickens) and we enjoyed our dip in the pool. Kilve beach is beautiful and we journeyed to Dunster for a lovely day out too. We hope to return soon!

Had a surprise stay here last weekend. Would I recommend a weekend here? NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. A WEEKEND IS FAR TOO SHORT! There is something magical about the lovely shepherd's hut. I love the idea of naming the huts as they have been named. I could tell you but where the fun in that? Have a bath outside in February? Are you mad? Sit in a wood fired hot tub under clear skys with beer and quiet music, absolutely brilliant. Fantastic food, lovely people. Please don't visit, we may want that weekend!!
